The Consequences Of Your Actions

“The conscious choices you make everyday lay the foundation for your mental and physical health and also determine the quality of life you lead.”
― Sanchita Pandey

Most of us are taught at an early age that there are consequences to our actions. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve discovered that that was probablly one of the most valuable lessons I was taught during my childhood. We all have regrets as we look back on our life, but it’s also important to reflect on our accomplishments.

I’ve always loved being active and as a teenager took daily long walks and spent my evenings doing sit-ups and “Jane Fonda” type workouts. This led me to pursue a fitness certification at a local college after getting married. I discovered that fitness was my passion and although I became a registered nurse, I eventually changed career paths and began to manage a local gym and train clients.

It became very important for me to practice what I preached in regards to living a healthy lifestyle. And now 40 years later, I’m proud of the fact that I always made my health and fitness a priority. I began to understand the importance of exercise and food choices and how it affected my energy levels and my appearance. And to this day at age 61, I have to say I’m thankful I learned that valuable lesson at an early age.
